ABOUT

Hey, I'm Em :)

I'm a 400 hour registered stress and trauma informed yoga teacher, on a mission to help others, where I started on my healing journey:

​

  • burntout and chronically stressed

  • constantly fatigued and unfulfilled

  • disregulated nervous system 

  • struggling alone with my mental health and PTSD symptoms, I felt lost and "unhelp-able"

  • "high functioning" - but feeling lost and anxious in survival mode​

​​

I started to take my holistic healing journey seriously when I hit "rock bottom", (physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually).

I was working full time, side hustling and going to university at night - while struggling with what I now know, were PTSD symptoms. I felt hopeless and stuck with

​

  • night terrors and unable to sleep more than a few hours,

  • unexplained heart palpitations,

  • intense intrusive thoughts and memories,

  • holding so many overwhelming feelings yet also felt unable to process them - numb and heavy,

  • productivity out of anxiousness,

  • sugar cravings

  • and having "random" health issues the doctors could only tell me were caused by stress...

At the darkest point in my journey, I took a week off and went on a vacation to "figure it out". ​

 

On this trip, I took my first serious yoga class, and it changed my life...​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I woke up from shavasana feeling at home within myself again, all in the present moment and my body felt safe enough to relax.

 

I felt peace and joy on all levels,​​ I found hope...

 

I clung onto this newfound practice as my light out of the darkness and took a deep dive into studying the nervous system and trauma.

 

Now, years later, I've gained experience in the Chiropractic, Neurofeedback, Mental Health and Yoga fields.

 

I've traveled the world, studying with leading experts in the yoga therapy and somatics...

Now, I share this style of yoga, nature based stress relief practices and all the tools that helped me heal my own nervous system.

​

My mission is to help light the path of others, just like it was done for me.​​ To help and support others to connect with their Inner Healer. I am currently studying to become a certified yoga therapist, and will be offering retreat options soon!
